11-14-09 Saturday Afternoon

Wow, it was a cloudy day. No sky at all, just gray.  I learned that I can't shoot much past 4 pm in the winter if it's overcast. The session went great, the kids stayed happy for almost 2 hours while we marched from location to location.  This was one of my best sessions to date!

10-31-09 Halloween Afternoon "Green" set

This was the "Green" photo shoot. By green I mean natural environment (not environmentally friendly). This set took about an hour also. Total time including driving was around two hours.  When everything was finished there were over 300 usable images between the two settings.

10-31-09 Saturday Urban Set (Halloween)

Shot the "Urban" set for roughly an hour.  BJ was a natural when it came to posing.  After the Urban set we drove to another area for a "Green" photo shoot.

10-25-09 Sunday Morning

Had a test run with my new lighting rig. I think it went pretty well. The kids were great at posing. The shoot lasted about an hour (it started to sprinkle and they had lunch plans).

10-3-09 Saturday Afternoon Portfolio shoot (part 2)

These are some images from my second model (a coworkers' granddaughter). She was angry until we went from the park into the alley. Her mom let her down in a gravel parking lot and she was handed a cool rock. It was 10 minutes of photoraphy bliss. She pointed and drew (and I was later told), white knuckled that rock all the way home. She wasn't going to give it up until she was good and ready. Thank goodness for free props.

10-3-09 Saturday Afternoon shoot

We started out shooting in a little downtown park. After about 20 to 25 minutes another local photographer showed up with a family. I decided to take this family around into the alley and use the "urban decay" to our advantage.
I was shooting this family and one other pro-bono in exchange for some portfolio pics. The whole shoot took about 40 to 45 minutes.
